Advanced Ride Control Systems (ARCS)

To support the production of lifting body and other high-speed demonstrator crafts, Navatek Ltd. designs, manufactures, and installs flight control and motion reduction systems. Using our CFD and ship design tools we can develop 6 Degree Of Freedom (DOF) mathematical simulations of the ships for motions predictions and control system development. These simulations allow us to develop the gains used in control algorithms, test the actual code used on the ship hardware, and conduct complete Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) for all points of the control system and associated impacts on ship operations. Navatek’s product line of robust real-time control hardware supports redundant and triple-redundant systems in flight-critical applications. The same hardware is used as stand-alone controllers for motion stabilization and motion reduction systems. Key features of Navatek flight control and motion-reducing systems include the use of fiber-optic serial busses for EMI protection and the ability to do long distance serial communication runs; redundant power sources; and environmentally sealed connectors for long life in the shipboard environment.
